HiTauing S10B Digital Temperature Controller

The HiTauing Digital Temperature Controller (model S10B) is a plug-in thermostat with separate heating and cooling outlets and a seawater-resistant probe. It is designed for aquarium heaters and chillers, and also suits reptile tanks, greenhouses and seedling mats.

How it protects the tank

Plug a heater into the heating port and the S10B cuts power if water exceeds the “SET+HD” temperature, your set point plus a heating differential. Plug a chiller into the cooling port and it shuts off when water drops below “SET-CD”. That stops a stuck heater from overheating fish, a failure HiTauing sums up as avoiding “boiling fish”.

Probe

The probe resists seawater corrosion, heat and cold, so it works in reef and marine tanks. It has a 78.7-inch probe cable, and the controller has a 59-inch plug cable, enough for most cabinet setups. The included suction cup is small; HiTauing suggests attaching it to the cable and then to the tank wall.

Touch display

A touch-sensitive LED screen handles settings. Press and hold SET for 3 seconds to enter mode selection, adjust with UP/DOWN, then hold SET for 3 seconds to save. Hold UP/DOWN for 3 seconds to switch between ℉ and ℃.

Dual relays

Dual relays control heating and cooling independently, so you can run a heater and a fan or chiller at the same time.

Setup tips

• Set the heater’s own dial slightly above your target.
• Keep the probe in good flow, away from the heater.
• Mount the controller dry, above the tank.
