The HiTauing Aquarium Heater (model AP02) is offered in 50W, 100W, 200W, 300W and 500W. This page covers the 300W size, which HiTauing rates for 40-75 gallon fish tanks, freshwater or saltwater.
Digital controller
An external IC controller shows water temperature on 2 red LED digits. The temperature range is 63-94℉ (17-34℃). Press and hold the button for 2-3 seconds to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. To set a temperature, press the button repeatedly until the display shows the value you want; after a moment it returns to showing the current water temperature.
Safety

A water sensor and over-temperature protection stop heating if the heater is completely out of water or heats rapidly beyond the set point. In both cases the indicator turns green. That guards against the two most common heater accidents: running dry during a water change and a stuck thermostat.
Build

The element is quartz glass with nickel-chromium heating wire and silicon carbide heat conduction for fast heating. A black shell of high temperature resistant ABS surrounds the glass, protecting fish and hands from burns.
Setup tips

- Mount the heater near the filter outflow for even heat.
- Place the controller where it stays dry.
- Unplug the heater before water changes, even with the out-of-water shutoff.
- Confirm with a separate thermometer for the first days.
Warranty
HiTauing includes a 1 Year Warranty.

Who it suits
Keepers of mid-size and large tanks who want a guarded heater with a readable display and automatic cutoffs. For an extra layer, run it through a separate thermostat like the Inkbird ITC-308.
