The DIGITEN DTC-310 is a 10A waterproof temperature controller. It plugs in between the outlet and your heating device and switches power based on a waterproof sensor probe. It is a general-purpose controller used for aquariums, greenhouses, reptile setups, brewing and seed germination.
IP65 shell
The housing uses integrated waterproof technology rated IP65, so splashes and outdoor rain will not harm it. DIGITEN recommends hanging it up for the best protection. That makes it a good fit for fish rooms, garages, greenhouse tanks and outdoor tubs where a standard controller would be at risk.
Wide range

The control range runs from -40~248ºF (-40℃~120℃). Aquariums use only a small part of that, but the wide range covers other uses like heat mats in reptile enclosures.
Display and hanging

An illuminated LED display is easy to read and program even in darkness. The unit hangs on a wall or hook to keep cords untangled and away from water.
Alarms and delay

High and low temperature alarms warn you if the temperature drifts out of range. A customizable compressor delay protects refrigeration equipment if you use it for cooling.
Using it on an aquarium
- Plug the heater in and set its own dial a little above your target.
- Place the probe in good flow, away from the heater.
- Set alarms close to your target temperature.
- Hang the controller above the tank with drip loops.
DIGITEN offers 12 months warranty.
Compare
For a controller with an aquarium-specific probe and dual heating and cooling outlets, see the Inkbird ITC-308S. For day and night heating schedules, the Inkbird ITC-306T is an option.
Who it suits
Keepers with tanks in damp or outdoor locations who need a weatherproof controller with alarms.
Because it is not aquarium-specific, check that the probe sits fully in the water column and away from any heater before relying on its reading.
The Bottom Line
A tough, weatherproof thermostat for fish rooms and outdoor tanks.
