Tetra EasyStrips Complete is an all-in-one aquarium test strip. One strip checks 7 parameters: ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, water hardness, chlorine, alkalinity and pH. It works in freshwater and saltwater aquariums, and the box holds 25 strips.
How to use
Dip the strip into tank water, wait 60 seconds and read the results against the chart. Including ammonia on the same strip saves a separate test, which many 6-in-1 strips leave out.
When to test

Tetra suggests using it weekly, after water changes, or when adding new fish. A weekly test on the same day as maintenance builds a record you can compare against.
Reading the results

- Ammonia and nitrite: should be zero in an established tank.
- Nitrate: keep it low with regular water changes.
- Chlorine: should be zero; if not, review your conditioner.
- Hardness, alkalinity, pH: aim for stability rather than chasing exact numbers.
Why alkalinity matters

Alkalinity (KH) buffers pH. When it drops, pH can crash suddenly, which stresses fish. If alkalinity trends down between water changes, increase the change frequency or consider a buffer.
Accuracy
Strips trade some precision for speed. Use them for routine checks, and confirm unusual results with a liquid kit like the API Freshwater Master Test Kit. For a version with more pads and a salt reading, see the AAwipes 8-in-1.
Storage
Keep the container sealed and dry, and do not touch the pads. Humidity near the tank is the main thing that spoils strips early.
Who it suits
Beginners and casual keepers who want a quick weekly snapshot, including ammonia, without learning liquid tests.
If you run more than one tank, label results by tank and date. Twenty-five strips go quickly across several aquariums, so keep a spare box on hand during busy periods such as setting up a new tank.
The Bottom Line
A fast weekly snapshot strip that covers the essentials, ammonia included.
