HITOP Compact 25W Digital Aquarium Heater

The HITOP Compact Submersible Aquarium Heater (model Q2) is a 25W mini heater with an external temperature controller. It suits betta tanks, turtle tanks and other small aquariums or fish bowls of 1-6 gallon, in seawater or freshwater.

External controller

The controller has a digital LED display showing both the set temperature and the real-time water temperature, plus a clear heating indicator. The adjustment range is 68-93℉. A 5.6Ft cable gives room to put the controller somewhere dry and easy to reach.

Build

The heater is thickened quartz glass with good sealing to keep water out. A bottom protective cover is included, useful in turtle tanks where animals may knock against the heater.

Setup tips

Mount the heater low and near the filter so warm water circulates. Set the controller a little below your target, then raise it after a day once the water has settled. Use the sticker thermometer as a second reference.

Turtle tanks

Turtles are strong and curious, and they can crack an unprotected heater. Keep the protective cover on and mount the heater where the turtle cannot wedge itself behind it.
