The Orlushy Submersible Aquarium Heater is an adjustable heater for freshwater and marine tanks, offered in six sizes. This page covers the 300W (C300) and 500W models, which suit larger aquariums. A separate thermometer is included for real-time readings.
How it heats
When the red light is on, the heater warms the water in steps toward the set temperature. When it reaches the target, the green light comes on and the heater stops, then cycles to hold the temperature. The 500W model has an adjust knob thermostat that shuts off automatically once the set temperature is reached.
Build

The heating element is nickel-chromium wire for fast heating. The whole body is covered by a heat-resistant ABS shell that Orlushy says will not deform or melt under high temperature. A shell also protects fish from touching the element directly, which matters with large, curious species. The 500W includes 2 suction cups for mounting.
Safe use

- Make sure the heater is 100% submerged before plugging it in.
- Unplug it and let it cool for 10-20 minutes before removing it for cleaning or water changes.
- Place it near the filter outflow for even heat.
Sizing

Choose wattage by tank size and room temperature using Orlushy’s size chart. In very large tanks, two smaller heaters at either end give more even heat and a backup if one fails.
Thermometer
Do not rely on the dial alone. Check the included thermometer for a day or two after setup and adjust the dial until the water holds the temperature you want.
Warranty
Orlushy offers a 1 -Year warranty.
Who it suits
Keepers of large freshwater, saltwater and turtle tanks who want an adjustable, shielded heater. For extra protection, run it through a controller like the Inkbird ITC-308, which adds an alarm and cuts power if the water overheats.
The Bottom Line
A sturdy, shielded heater for large tanks.
