The Sicce Shark Pro Nano 250 is a small internal power filter for aquariums up to 13 gallons. It moves 65 GPH on 5.5 W, mounts with a magnet instead of suction cups, and uses stackable modules of filter media. Sicce backs it with a 5 Year Warranty.
Magnetic mounting
Suction cups lose grip over time. This filter uses a magnetic connection rated for glass up to 6 mm (0.253) thick. An outside magnet holds the filter in place and makes it easy to slide up or down when you want to change the outlet height.
Modular media

The filter is built from independent modules, each holding media. The stock setup gives multi-stage filtration, and Sicce sells extra modules if you want more mechanical or chemical capacity. That makes it easier to grow the filter as the tank fills with fish.
Four flow options

- Unidirectional, for a single strong current.
- Multidirectional, to spread flow around the tank.
- Spray bar, for a gentle, even return.
- Oxygen enrichment with the venturi, which draws air into the outflow.
A flow kit and an air regulator with a silencer are included, so you can calm the current for bettas or shrimp.
Other uses

The filter also works lying horizontally. That makes it handy in shallow turtle tanks and small ponds where a vertical filter would stick out of the water.
Who it suits
This is a good match for nano tanks, shrimp setups and quarantine tanks. In bigger tanks, look at larger internals like the OASE EcoFlow 150. Clean the modules in old tank water, and rinse the impeller every month or so to keep flow steady.
Because the filter sits fully underwater, keep the top of the unit below the surface so it never pulls in air and starts to rattle.
The Bottom Line
A flexible little internal filter that suits nano, shrimp and turtle tanks well.
