Jeimier 4-Piece Aquascaping Tools Kit

The Jeimier 4 in 1 Aquascaping Kit gathers the core tools for a planted tank into one case. It includes a 10.6” straight tweezer, a 10.6” curved tweezer, 9.7” curved scissors and a 12.6” aquascaping spatula, plus a bag for storage.

Sized for small tanks

Jeimier says the tools are long enough for tanks under 10 gallon. That makes the kit a good match for nano scapes and desktop tanks, where long tools become awkward. In deeper tanks you will want longer pieces.

The tools

• Straight tweezer: pushes stem cuttings and carpet plantlets into substrate.
• Curved tweezer: reaches behind hardscape and plants at an angle.
• Curved scissors: trim stems and carpets in hard-to-reach spots.
• Spatula: a double sided edge for smoothing and sloping the soil.

Material and care

The tools are stainless steel. Jeimier recommends drying them after each use, which is good practice for any metal tool going in and out of water. Wipe off fertilizer residue so joints in the scissors stay smooth.

Building a scape

Use the spatula to shape the substrate before filling, plant with the tweezers while the tank is partly filled, then trim once growth fills in. For larger tanks or deeper planting, add a longer tool such as the EvaGO 15 inch curved tweezers. Root tabs like Seachem Flourish Tabs can be pushed in with the straight tweezer as well.

Who it suits

Beginners setting up a first planted nano will get the most from this kit. Experienced scapers may find the set limited, but it covers the basic jobs.

Having matched tools also makes maintenance easier later. Trimming with proper scissors gives clean cuts that recover quickly, and replanting the tops with tweezers is far gentler on roots than pushing stems in by hand. Keep the bag nearby so the tools stay together.
