The FZONE Neo CO2 Diffuser uses a customized ceramic disc made in South Korea with microscopically small holes. It breaks CO2 into a very fine mist that dissolves easily into the water for plants to use. This page covers the L-24mm size and the S-13mm size.
Built-in bubble counter
The ceramic disk is permanently adhered to a transparent acrylic bubble counter. That means you can see the bubble rate right at the diffuser, without a separate counter on the line. The acrylic is not easily broken during maintenance, unlike glass.
Choosing a size

- S: 1-2 bps (bubbles per second), for 13gal or less
- M: 2-3 bps, for 13-32gal
- L: more than 3 bps, for 32 Gallons or more
Pressure

The diffuser needs only 20PSI (1.37bar) to work, and FZONE recommends pressure higher than 25PSI. It works with all CO2 systems, including DIY setups, though DIY yeast systems may struggle to push through fine ceramic.
Placement

Use the included suction cup to mount it low in a corner, ideally where filter flow carries the mist across the tank. The longer bubbles stay in the water, the more CO2 dissolves.
Start-up
New ceramic diffusers often release larger bubbles for the first days. Soaking the diffuser before installing helps it reach a fine mist sooner.
Cleaning
Ceramic discs clog over time with algae and minerals. Soak the diffuser in a diluted bleach solution, rinse very thoroughly and dechlorinate before reinstalling.
Safety with CO2
Always use a check valve on the line, such as a CO2-rated metal valve, and raise CO2 slowly while watching fish for gasping. For an alternative style, see the FZONE acrylic diffuser.
Run a drop checker in the tank to judge CO2 level rather than relying on bubble count alone. A green color at lights-on is a common target, and it gives you a visual check that the diffuser is doing its job.
The Bottom Line
A tidy all-in-one diffuser and counter for pressurized CO2 tanks.
