Crystalpro Flora Multi Minerals is a liquid fertilizer for freshwater aquarium plants, sold in a 4.2 Oz / 125ml bottle. The blend includes potassium, nitrate, magnesium, calcium, iron, boron, manganese, zinc, copper, molybdenum and cobalt. It is free of phosphates and silicates.

Why phosphate free

Many tanks already get phosphate from fish food. Leaving it out of the fertilizer avoids stacking more on top, which helps if algae or green water has been a problem. If your plants show phosphate shortage, such as stunted growth with dark older leaves, you may need to supply it separately.

Dosing

Crystalpro’s direction is 5 ml per 30 gallons (115 Liters) once or twice a week for heavily planted setups. For lightly planted tanks, start with once a week and observe.

Copper and invertebrates

The formula includes copper as a trace element. Crystalpro says all trace elements are in safe amounts and that it is suitable for shrimp and snails. Still, shrimp are sensitive to copper, so dose to the label and do not overdose in small shrimp tanks.

Fit in a routine

  • Use it for the water column, feeding stems, floaters and epiphytes.
  • Add root tabs for swords and crypts in inert substrate.
  • Test nitrate occasionally, since the formula includes nitrate.

Watching plants

Good signs are deeper green new growth and fewer pale leaves. If algae increases, reduce dose frequency first, then check lighting.

Compared with others

Seachem Flourish focuses on trace elements without significant nitrogen. NilocG Thrive includes phosphate. Crystalpro sits between: nitrogen and potassium plus traces, without phosphate.

Storage

Cap tightly and keep it away from heat and sunlight.

A dosing syringe gives more accurate measurements than pouring from the bottle, especially for nano tanks where a single ml makes a difference. Rinse it after each use and keep a note of what you dosed and when, so you can link changes in growth or algae back to your routine.

The Bottom Line

A good fit for planted tanks where phosphate already runs high.
