AQUANEAT check valves are one-way, non-return valves that sit in the airline between your air pump and the tank. Each pack holds 10pcs in red, sized at 0.5”D x 2”L to fit standard tubing with an inner diameter of about 3/163.
What a check valve does
When an air pump is running, it pushes air down the line. When it stops, during a power cut or when you unplug it, water can siphon back up the tubing and flood the pump. That can ruin the pump and spill water onto the shelf or floor. A check valve lets air through in one direction and blocks water from flowing back.
Why a 10 pack helps

Every air line should have its own valve. If you run a few tanks, a sponge filter and a stone, you will use several. Valves also wear out over time as the internal seal stiffens, so having spares means you can swap one the moment it fails.
Installing them

- Cut the airline a few inches from where it enters the tank.
- Push one end onto the valve, then the other.
- Make sure the arrow or flow side points toward the tank.
- Check that bubbles still come through.
Red for visibility

The bright color makes valves easy to spot when tracing lines behind a cabinet. If you want them hidden, mount them behind the tank or in a stand.
Good practice
Even with a valve, placing the pump above the water line adds a second layer of safety. Test valves now and then by blowing gently through them; air should pass only one way.
For a single smaller pack in a different style, see the Pawfly 6 pcs check valves or the Aquatop check valve.
Keep two or three spares in your fish drawer so a stuck valve never leaves a line unprotected.
The Bottom Line
A simple, cheap insurance policy for every air line you run.
