KnR Harmony 7-in-1 Aquascaping Tools Kit, Black

The KnR Harmony Aquascaping Tools 7 in 1 Kit is built for keepers who trim a lot. It includes a waved scissor, a curved scissor, a straight scissor, a substrate spatula, a curved tweezer, a straight tweezer and a storage case.

Three scissors, three jobs

• Waved scissor: trims carpet plants down low to the substrate.
• Curved scissor: shapes bushes and reaches around hardscape.
• Straight scissor: clean cuts on stems and thinning tall plants.

Most kits include only one pair. Having all three means you always have the right angle for the cut.

Tweezers and spatula

The straight and curved tweezers have serrated tips that grip securely with minimal water disturbance. They are also suitable for feeding live food to fish or corals. The spatula levels substrate and shapes slopes.

Finish

The tools are waterproof stainless steel with a matte black finish that does not dull the blades, will not fade and resists rust, so it does not affect the water. A black protective cover keeps the tips safe in storage.

Care

Rinse and dry each tool after use, especially the scissor pivots, and return them to the case.

Compare

For a kit that includes a pipe brush and net, the Lxiyu 7-in-1 kit is an alternative. For one dedicated wave pair, see the Mandala Crafts wave scissors.

Who it suits

Planted tank keepers with carpets and stem plants who trim often and want a complete matched set. It also suits reef keepers who target feed corals with tweezers. The case keeps everything together, so the tools last longer and are ready the next time growth needs cutting back. Trim little and often, and replant healthy tops to fill gaps in the scape.

Start with the waved scissor on carpets, then switch to straight or curved for stems and bushes.
