Luxiv 153 Aquarium Tweezers Set, Straight and Curved

The Luxiv Aquarium Tweezers Set (model L5W-plant tweezers-153) is a 2-piece set with one straight and one curved tweezer, each 15in (38cm) long. Luxiv sizes them for medium and large aquariums, where shorter tools leave your hand in the water.

Why buy a pair

The straight tweezer is the workhorse for planting: grip a stem near its base and push it into the substrate at a clean angle. The curved tweezer reaches around rocks and wood, tucks moss into crevices and picks debris out of spots you cannot see straight on. Together they handle almost every planting job.

Grip that holds

Sawteeth at the tip and on the handle add friction, so plants and food are less likely to slip, and the tools are less likely to slide out of a wet hand. The teeth hold firmly without crushing soft stems when you use light pressure.

Material

Luxiv uses an alloy stainless steel that resists rust, corrosion and fading. Rinse and dry the tweezers after each session to keep them that way, especially after saltwater use.

Who it suits

Plant with the tank partly filled, push stems in at an angle, then release the tips slowly and draw the tweezers out along the same path. That keeps the substrate from lifting and stems from floating free.
