The QVYQVY QVY09003 pack holds 8 red one-way check valves for 3/16 Inch airline. Each valve measures 23 L x 0.553 W, has an air hole diameter of 0.123 and weighs 0.1 oz. They fit standard airline tubing with an ID of 0.193.
What they do
When the power goes out or the pump pauses, water can siphon backward down the airline. A check valve lets air flow to the tank and blocks water from flowing back toward the pump. That protects the pump and avoids a puddle on the floor.
Air only

QVYQVY is clear that these valves are designed for most common aquarium air pumps and are NOT suitable for CO2 or other high-pressure systems, where they could crack and leak. For a CO2 line, use a metal valve such as the Clscea metal check valve.
Why red

The red color is easy to spot behind a cabinet or on a busy rack. When you are tracing lines or checking flow direction, a bright valve is quicker to find than a clear one.
Installing

- Cut the airline between the pump and tank.
- Connect the pump side to the valve inlet.
- Connect the tank side to the outlet.
- Check that bubbles flow, then tuck the line away.
Maintenance
Clean the valves regularly. If one clogs and restricts air flow, poke it from the inlet side with a slim stick to push it open. The plastic seals tight on the hose and runs quietly.
Why eight
Eight valves cover several tanks or give you spares for later. Every outlet, including each branch after a splitter, should have its own valve.
Even with valves, the safest layout keeps the air pump above the water line. A drip loop in the tubing below the pump adds one more layer of protection. Swap any valve that starts to stick or hiss, since a weak seal lets water creep through over time.
The Bottom Line
A bright, simple pack of valves for everyday air lines.
