The hygger 2-in-1 submersible pump is a 65W AC pump with a max flow of 1060 GPH (4000 L/H) and a 13FT lift height. Its party trick is a switch between two intake modes: side suction for everyday circulation and low suction for draining water and lifting debris off the bottom.
Two suction modes
In side suction mode, the pump draws water from its sides and behaves like a normal return or fountain pump. A built-in knob fine-tunes flow, pressure and lift. In low suction mode, it pulls from underneath and can drain water down to just 0.4 inches, catching waste within a 0.3-inch radius. That makes it useful for emptying a tank before a move, clearing a pond basin or speeding up big water changes.
Where it fits

- Large aquarium water changes
- Sump return or extra circulation in big tanks
- Fountains, waterfalls and garden ponds
- Hydroponic systems
- Draining a bathtub or tub
Nozzles and mounting

It comes with 4 nozzles in 3 sizes to match common tubing. Four strong suction cups hold it vertically, horizontally or on an angled surface, and the power cord is 6.56ft long. The interior opens without tools for cleaning.
Fresh and saltwater

hygger lists the pump as safe in both freshwater and saltwater, so it can serve a reef sump as well as a koi pond.
Sizing advice
With this much flow, it is too strong to run as the only pump in a small display tank. Use it for water changes on larger systems, or turn the knob down when it drives a fountain. Put a pre-filter sponge over the side intake if small fish or shrimp share the water.
Smaller options
For a tabletop fountain or a nano tank, the WUCIOOO 210 GPH pump is a better size.
The Bottom Line
A strong two-mode pump for big water changes, ponds and fountains.
