OASE EcoFlow 150 Internal Aquarium Filter

The OASE EcoFlow 150 is an internal filter for freshwater and saltwater tanks up to 40 gallons (150L). It sits inside the tank on a suction-cup bracket and measures about 3.7 x 2.6 x 11.6 inches, so it hides behind plants or decor.

Hidden intake

The intake is on the back, behind rounded edges that guide water smoothly in. Placing it out of sight helps keep plants and fish from entering the unit.

Media

The EcoFlow uses mechanical and biological media, including BioPearls and 20 ppi foams. The top media basket can hold the included BioPearls or a media of your choice, such as carbon in a bag.

Easy maintenance

The bracket lets you lift the whole filter out for cleaning. EasyClean magnetic catches release the filter modules without disturbing the pump. Rinse the foams in tank water so the bacteria stay alive.

Flow and oxygen

• Send water through the top nozzle, the spray bar, or both.
• Adjust flow direction and rate.
• Use the venturi nozzle to draw in air when you need more oxygen.

Build and warranty

OASE says it’s Italian-made and German-engineered, and it’s UL certified. It carries a 3-year warranty, longer than many internal filters.

Who it suits

Internal filters work well on tanks with tight lids or rimless designs where a hang-on box won’t fit. The spray bar gives gentle, spread-out flow for planted tanks. Mount it in a back corner with the outlet just under the surface for good circulation. Keep the top below the waterline so the pump never runs dry.

Clean the foams every few weeks, or sooner if flow drops, and replace them only when they lose their shape.
